In the midst of winter
Thinking only of Christmas, snowmen and hot chocolate.
Baking gingerbread, eating candy canes,
Looking for hidden presents
In your parents closets, knowing they won’t be there
Spending as much time with your family as you can and never wanting to
Sleep because the days are too perfect to ever end.
The holidays hold such magic when you are a kid...It's also fun to be the parent making that magic happen, I will say.
